Speedy Cash

HOW INSULTING!!! First time cashing my check at this place, since my bank already had closed at a certain time on a Saturday. And I could’ve done mobile deposit, but I won’t get all of the amount until couple of days later. Anyways, they wanted to verify where I work, since I never cash a check with them before. So, no one was answering I called one of my associate, to answer the work phone. They did, and they have. Verified that I work there. And that wasn’t enough. They wanted to call the owner, which who wrote the check. Mind you, this is a Saturday, how embarrassing to bother my boss! Even my boss, told them “are you serious? I told you the check number and the amount, what kind of place is this?” That’s very embarrassing for those kids that were working behind the counter. Anyways, he then now validated what these people wanted from him. One girl, said she will cash my check. 20 mins later. I’m still there waiting for my check to get cashed. I had my hopes up because she said she will cash it. Then they wanted to call US BANK! To verify the acct #! And the amount! Of course the bank had told them, they can not verify anything over the phone esp. if they aren’t banking with them. Almost an hour of verification just to cash my check. The girl told me, they can not cash my checks since THE BANK COULDNT VERIFY THE ACCT. #. How dumb was this place!!? Like I could’ve gone elsewhere or not wait that long if I was going to end up leaving without my check being cashed. I was so frustrated. And ended up doing a mobile deposit which I wanted to avoid, since I needed the cash now. Please, save yourself time and do not come here. Kids work here and they will waste your time.
